Love Modesto - Saturday at starting at 9:00 a.m.

Build a house, encourage the elderly, clean a park. these are a few of the ways you can impact lives and make a difference through Love Modesto, a community-wide service project.

Last year, more than 2,500 people volunteered to Love Modesto through a variety of projects, making Modesto a better place and improving quality of life for many. This year, Love Modesto will partner with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, the City of Modesto and the Society for the Handicapped to serve children, the elderly, the disabled and the disadvantaged. Volunteers engage in a variety of activities including offering food to the hungry, collecting toys for foster children, visiting convalescent homes and tutoring with the Stanislaus Literacy Center.
